Careers at Transnet IT

Transnet IT is a small team that grows as the work does. We install, configure and support business technology across Nigeria, and most of what we do happens on client premises: putting terminals on counters, running cable, mounting cameras and getting systems live. The people who do that work well are practical, careful and comfortable explaining technology to someone who does not care how it works, only that it does.

We hire engineers, installers, software developers and sales staff as projects demand. Some roles are permanent, some are for the duration of a rollout. Whichever it is, you will be trusted with real client sites early and expected to take responsibility for the quality of what you leave behind.

There are no advertised openings at the moment. We do keep CVs on file and get in touch when a suitable role opens, so you are welcome to send yours.

Skills we look for

• Field installation: structured cabling, CCTV, access control and network equipment, done neatly and tested
• Point-of-sale and business software configuration, including product data, menus and user setup
• Networking fundamentals: switching, routing, Wi-Fi and troubleshooting on live sites
• Software development for web and cloud applications, with an interest in how businesses actually use them
• Client-facing communication: training users, writing clear handover notes and handling support calls calmly
• Sales and account management for business technology, with the honesty to say when a product is not the right fit
