The challenge
A premium store needed a checkout that matched the interior and still handled stock properly. The owners had invested in the fit-out and did not want a cluttered counter with visible cables and mismatched equipment. At the same time, they were selling high-value items and needed to know exactly what was in stock and what had been sold.
Earlier attempts at a till had been rejected because the hardware looked out of place or could not handle the range of sizes, colours and variants in the collection. The catalogue itself had never been fully documented in one place.
What we did
We specified a dual-screen terminal so the customer sees their items and total on a clean display while the sales associate works on the other side. An omnidirectional scanner was chosen so items can be presented at any angle without fumbling, and the printer and cash drawer were housed within the counter with cabling routed out of sight.
The full product catalogue was built in TranziPOS with variants, sizes and pricing, and opening stock was counted and entered. Reporting was configured so the owners can see sales by product, collection and associate. The team was trained on the till and on the discount and refund permissions agreed with the owners.
The outcome
The result is a discreet counter setup with catalogue-level sales reporting. The checkout fits the interior, and customers see a clear display of what they are buying. Behind it, every sale reduces stock and is attributed to the associate who processed it.
The owners now have a documented catalogue for the first time and can see which lines move and which do not. Reordering and markdown decisions are based on the sales record rather than impressions from the floor.

Questions
Within limits, yes. Terminal finishes and mounting options vary, and we route cables and house printers and drawers within the counter wherever the joinery allows.
New products, variants and prices are added in TranziPOS by an authorised user and can be barcoded with a label printer if items do not arrive pre-labelled.
Only if their user role allows it. Discount and refund permissions are set by the owner and every discount is recorded against the user who applied it.
